A Look at Rockville Maryland Music Festivals

Welcome to Rockville, Maryland is an all ages rock and metal concert held each spring. This music festival has been held every year at Metropolitan Park, in Jacksonville, Maryland since 1993. Each spring the band is chosen by a committee that is appointed by the City of Jacksonville.

Rockville, Maryland has been host to numerous rock festivals including the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Iron Maiden, Alice Cooper, Black Label Society, Pearl Jam, and Soundgarden. The Festival typically attracts hundreds of visitors from surrounding communities. This music festival is held every year in early spring with many of the bands performing live on stage. Rockville, Maryland is known for its many musical festivals, including Sturgisfest, Rock Against Racism, National Jazz Day, and the Big Ears Festival.

For the 10th anniversary of Rockville Maryland, MetLife Stadium hosted a concert featuring Alice Cooper, Pearl Jam, and Metallica. The lineup included Dave Navarro (Alice Cooper), James Taylor (Pearl Jam), Tom Marshall (Metallica), Bruce Dickinson (Metallica), and Meg White (Metallica). This concert attracted thousands of fans from around the area.

For the ninth annual Welcome to Rockville Maryland, the MetLife Stadium was again host to this concert. A lineup that featured Pearl Jam, Metallica, and Alice Cooper, this lineup also featured a few other popular artists. Rockers such as the Black Keys, Jeff Porcaro, and Jimmy Page joined the lineup.

For the tenth anniversary of Rockville Maryland, this year's concert featured Iron Maiden, Pearl Jam, Black Label Society, Meg White, and Dave Navarro. This lineup featured several other famous musicians that performed during the concert. This year the concert featured the music of Metallica and Alice Cooper.

For the eleventh year of Rockville, the MetLife Stadium hosted the third annual Jamaica Festival, which features reggae and dance music. This event took place in June. It was a great deal of fun for everyone in attendance. This year's event featured performances by: The Blue Oyster Cult, Kinky Boots, Roots, Buggles, Black Lips, The Soul Searchers, Belly, and many more.


For the twelfth year of Rockville Maryland, the Rockville Maryland Community College was hosting a concert featuring Dokken, Korn, Black Label Society, and Black Label Society. This concert featured songs such as "Shine On You Crazy Diamond," "Fortunate Son," and many others. Also playing were: The Roots, Pearl Jam, Meg White, Alice Cooper, and Black Label Society.

For the thirteenth year of Rockville Maryland, the MetLife Stadium hosted the seventeenth concert in the Rockville Maryland Music Festival, which featured Alice Cooper, Pearl Jam, Meg White, Metallica, The Black Keys, and John Fogerty. This year's lineup included John Fogerty and The Black Keys.

For the fifteenth year of Rockville Maryland, the venue was host again to the seventeenth concert of the Welcome to Rockville Maryland music festival, this time featuring Bob Dylan, Pearl Jam, Black Label Society, Pearl Jam, and Meg White. With this lineup, more than a hundred of the local and visiting rockers performed. This year's concert featured The Stones, The Replacements, John Fogerty, Soundgarden, and The Allman Brothers Band.
